CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man suspected of being in the gang MS-13. Javier Molina, 18, was arrested after a standoff with police, they said. The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Molina was the last remaining fugitive after 25 suspected gang members were indicted by a federal grand jury last month. Molina was taken into custody at a home on Oak Street in North Charlotte. Officers said they attempted to serve a warrant on Molina around 1 p.m. Sunday. Police said that is when Molina barricaded himself in the attic of the home. The SWAT team was then called in."We weren't sure whether he was armed or not," sgt. Tim Gromis said. "So we called the SWAT team. That's typically what they do when someone barricades themselves -- we assume they're armed."Gromis said the home was slightly damaged during the arrest. The FBI was also on the scene Sunday.
