Investigation Into Independence High Football Program Finds No Wrongdoing

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced Wednesday that the investigation into the football program at Independence High School is done.

Superintendent Peter Gorman said no staff changes will happen at the school.

Independence had been under investigation after some players were declared ineligible during the last football season.

Investigators said they did not find any concrete evidence that the school was recruiting the players.

The investigation cost the district $96,000.
