CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- ABC's “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is coming to help a Charlotte family, and Monday some of the people who will be working on the house came together to meet each another. The Bobcats' Rhythm Cats and Rufus their mascot helped pep up the volunteers at Carmel Baptist Church in Matthews.American Heartland Homebuilder and JED Development were selected to oversee the project. The show's executive producer said it's a great chance for neighbors to help one another.“Neighbors coming together to help neighbors inspires people. I encourage you to come and volunteer and be a part of this. You'll realize that you don’t need us. You don't need Hollywood to make a difference in your community,” said Conrad Ricketts. The family that is being helped has not been announced yet. They'll be surprised by the host of the show, Ty Pennington, in one week.To find out how you can volunteer or donate money or materials to the project, visit Extreme Makeover Charlotte.SLIDESHOW: Volunteers Gather To Get Revved Up For "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"
