CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Tuesday, neighborhoods throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas will join thousands of communities nationwide for the annual National Night Out.National Night Out is an event aimed at preventing crimes and drug abuse, along with supporting local anti-crime efforts.There are several National Night Out events scheduled Tuesday around Charlotte and the surrounding areas.Here is a list of several participating communities:Charlotte:Colonial Village Neighborhood, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.Grier Park Apartments, 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.Plaza Midwood, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.Arbor Glen Outreach Center, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.Withrow Downs II, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.Applegate Homeowner's Association, Inc., 7 p.m.Hoskins Community New Outreach Christian Center, 7 p.m.Oakhurst Community Garden, 8 p.m.Other events:Lake Park, N.C., 6p.m. – 9 p.m.Belmont, N.C., 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.Matthews, N.C.For more information, just click here.
