Gimme The Mike Charlotte WinnerAdrienne Vaulx of Charlotte was named winner of “Gimme The Mike! Charlotte” 2008 Wednesday night.In a close competition, Adrienne's outstanding performance earned the highest score Wednesday night on the show’s hour-long finale broadcast live on WSOC-TV Channel 9.The other finalists competing on the show were: Nichole Broome of Gastonia, Marvin Curry of Charlotte, Oliver Highman of Cornelius, Shelly Burris of Richfield, Malachi Stanley of Charlotte and Shannon Roschke of Huntersville, who was the Clearwire Wildcard Winner.Celebrity judges Ken Buchner from 96.9 Kat Country (WKKT-FM), David L. and Jacinda from 96.1 The Beat (WIBT-FM) and Fred Story, composer, songwriter and owner of Concentrix Music and Sound Design in Charlotte made the very difficult final decision as to which singer would win.The winner receives a prize package which includes a 42” HD television along with gift cards from Food Lion and Concord Mills and a five-song demo CD.
