Trial Comes To Close In 15-Year-Old Murder Case

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- After two weeks of testimony, a jury will soon have the case of a double slaying involving two Charlotte teens.The case was cold for years. Now, three men are accused of killing 15-year-old Raylynn Chelton and 17-year-old Tash Lopes.Antwan Sanders told a jury he was there when the girls were kidnapped, robbed, sexually assaulted and killed in 1993, but said he did not commit the crimes. He faces life if prison if a convicted of murder.The judge in case will charge the jury Friday morning. The jurors will begin deliberations after that.Sanders’ family said he got mixed up with the wrong crowd."My son just got mixed up with the wrong two people.
