CMPD Significant Event Log For Aug. 27/28

28 Aug. 1:27 p.m. Armed Robbery From Person With Injury at 2400 Longleaf Drive in the Steele Creek Division. The victim was robbed by a bloack male suspect in his early 20’s wearing a tank top. The victim received a non-life threatening injury to his head during the robbery. MEDIC responded and treated the victim.

28 Aug. 4:36 p.m. Accident With Injury Involving a School Bus at West W.T. Harris Blvd. and Hackberry Creek in the North Division. CMS bus #915 was involved in a two vehicle collision. Twenty three students were on board, one was transported by MEDIC to the hospital with complaint of an injury. The driver of the other vehicle was also transported by MEDIC with a minor injury.

28 Aug. 6:06 p.m. Suspicious Activity Reported at 8200 University Executive Park Dr. in the University City Division. A third party called regarding a white female with hair in a ponytail, wearing light colored pants and a black shirt, being physically forced into a black Ford Ranger pickup truck with Tennessee tag by a black male, approx. 5'9" with a short afro, wearing khaki pants and a white t-shirt. It was reported that the victim and the suspect were having a conversation as if they knew each other prior to this incident. The vehicle left toward Harris Blvd. Homicide was notified.

28 Aug. 7 p.m. Armed Robbery From Person at 200 Branchview Dr. in the Steele Creek Division. A black male and white female were robbed by a black male, approx. 5'10", wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and a black baseball cap, armed with two handguns. The suspect fled in a grey SUV. No one was injured.

28 Aug. 9 p.m. Armed Robbery From Person/Person Shot/Officer Assaulted at 4600 Willard St. in the Freedom Division. Three black male victims were approached by three other black males, one wearing a red shirt; the second wearing a white shirt; and the third wearing blue shorts and a black shirt, armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded the victims' money. One of the victims sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was transported by MEDIC to the hospital. During this incident, Officer #2438 was assaulted. The officer deployed his TASER on a suspect who was also transported by MEDIC. The officer was not injured. Robbery detectives responded.

28 Aug. 9:39 p.m. Accident With Injury/Pedestrian Struck at Billy Graham Pkwy. and Boyer St. in the Freedom Division. A pedestrian crossing Billy Graham Pkwy. near Boyer St. was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported by MEDIC to the hospital with serious injuries. HITS responded.

28 Aug. 1:33 p.m. Armed Robbery From Person at Scaleybark and South Blvd in the Westover Division. The suspects approached the victim who was in his vehicle at the listed location. The suspects were armed with a knife. The suspects took the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. Officers located the suspects on foot and with K9 took them both into custody. Detectives are investigating. The victim’s vehicle was found a short while later.

29 Aug. 12:19 a.m. Shots Fired/Armed Robbery From Business at 3200 Freedom Drive in the Freedom Division. Two black male suspects entered the Pizza Hut and fired one round into the ceiling of the business. The suspects then took property from the business and fled the area in an unknown direction. There were no injuries. The suspects were described as, one 5’11” and the other 6’3”, both armed with handguns.
