Freightliner Laying Off Hundreds In Mount Holly

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. -- Freightliner has just announced it’s laying off 675 workers in Mount Holly.The plant operations will be scaled back from two shifts to just one per day at the end of October.The company said people aren't buying the large trucks they make in the sluggish economy.
