Police: Man Shot Over Football Game

Police are still looking for a gunman who they said shot another man Sunday during an argument over a football game.

Police said the victim, Karl Kincaid, and shooter, Daniel Green, were guests at a friend's house when an argument occurred.

According to police, the homeowner asked Green to leave and he did. But soon after, Green returned with a gun and shot Kincaid.

It happened at about 2:45 Sunday afternoon on Red Hickory Lane. That's in Southwest Charlotte.

Neighbors said they were stunned to hear that the gunfire was because of a fight over a football game.

"It's very surprising, because I'm a football fan myself. Why would you take it to that extreme?," said Regan Roseborough, who lives in the neighborhood.

Police said they've dealt with Green before. He's been arrested more than half a dozen times in the last two years.

Investigators tell Eyewitness News Kincaid was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery. At last check on Sunday, Kincaid was listed in fair condition.
