LONG VIEW, N.C. -- The family of a man shot to death in his work van while in Long View is putting up fliers asking for help finding his killer.

Eddie Greene, 27, was shot in the head Oct. 3 about five blocks from the Long View Police Department. Greene, who owned his own masonry business, was found dead in his still-running work van hours after paying his employees.

Greene lived in Caldwell County and was engaged to be married.

Police and State Bureau of Investigation agents have combed the van looking for evidence, but so far they have no suspects in the case.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
