Teen Listening To MP3 Player Killed By Train

CRAMERTON, N.C. -- A train hit and killed a 16-year-old student Monday afternoon in Cramerton, N.C., while he was listening to an MP3 player.Police said Joshua Phillips was walking home from South Point High School. A freight train hit him from behind on a railroad trestle near North Main Street.Police said Phillips apparently never heard the train coming.Norfolk-Southern workers said Phillips never acknowledged the train's horn or bell.
