CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- CATS leaders are set to hold a meeting Tuesday that could change where and when commuters can catch a bus. There could be fewer buses leaving from the Charlotte Transportation Center in Uptown.CATS officials say with the bad economy and the drop in gas prices in recent months, they have been forced to make some difficult decisions. One of them could be to cut bus routes. Those under consideration include routes on Randolph Road, some in the University of North Carolina-Charlotte area and other routes in the Southpark community.CATS has also had to cut back in other areas, such as not purchasing new company vehicles. Work on new bus benches will also be delayed. The group may also have to cut jobs as well.CATS will unveil their changes at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Government Center.
