Husband, Wife Dead In Alleged Murder-Suicide In Lenoir

LENOIR, N.C. -- Lenoir police said they discovered a murder-suicide when they were called to an apartment early Sunday.Officers arrived shortly after 9 a.m. at the Meadowood Garden apartments after a neighbor found a handwritten note on the door of apartment No. 21 that said, “Call 911. Do not go inside.”Inside the apartment, officers found Robin Lovada Jarvis, 50, and Larry Eugene Jarvis, 53, dead of apparent gunshot wounds.Police said the two were married, but had separated. They said they believe Larry Jarvis picked his wife up from her home in Old Fort, shot her to death in the car and then took her body into his apartment.Investigators said they found documents inside the home that appear to be a confession by Larry Jarvis.Police said they are still working to determine a motive.
