ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. -- Investigators said they suspect they’ve found the body of a missing person in Alexander County.

Earlier this month, 20-year-old Fidel Portillo disappeared from his Taylorsville home.

Investigators are looking at whether a body found in the Vashti community may be Portillo.

Deputies said they do suspect foul play in the case. They are awaiting DNA test results in hopes of making a positive identification.
