NEW YORK -- Bobbie’s Baking And Lil Café in Mount Holly, N.C., appeared on Friday’s “Live! With Regis And Kelly” as one of four contenders in a nationwide search for the best grill recipe.

Each week, all summer long, viewers will vote on one nominated chef who will be chosen to travel to New York City to appear on “Live” and demonstrate his or her recipe.

At the end of the summer, one dish will be named the “Ultimate Hometown” winner, and that chef will have the opportunity to appear in an upcoming issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine with the winning recipe.

In addition, those viewers who send in nominations and those who vote online will have a chance to enter to win one of five Weber Genesis Gas Grills valued at about $900.

Bobbie’s Baking Beer Can Chicken recipe was nominated from a local viewer to win the show’s first “Ultimate Hometown Grill Off” title.

Viewers can then logon to LiveRegisandKelly.com and vote for the chef and recipe that they would most like to see win.

The voting is open from Friday at 10 a.m. until Sunday 10 a.m. You can cast your vote here.

The winning recipe will be announced by Regis and Kelly Monday and the winner will fly to New York to appear on the show and prepare the recipe on Friday, June 5.
