CMPD Significant Event Log For July 8/9

July 8 3:27 p.m. Break/Enter Residential-Unoccupied at 3100 Carol Avenue in Metro Division. Officers recovered a stolen vehicle that was driven to this address by several BM suspects who then broke into the house. At least one suspect is in custody.July 8 5:28 p.m. ADW-With Injury at 2500 Runnymede Lane in Providence Division. Two WM suspects assaulted a male victim. The suspects assaulted the victim with his skateboard and subsequently stole the skateboard. The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital with minor injuries. The suspects fled the scene in a white pickup truck.July 8 7:02 p.m. at 5200 Tarrywood Lane in Eastway Division. An Eastway Officer was bitten in the right calf muscle by a dog and subsequently fired his service weapon at the dog, striking it. The dog will likely not survive. The Officer was transported to CMC for treatment of his wound.July 8 11:58 p.m. Accident-Fatality at I-85 Hwy & University City Blvd in University City Division. Fatality motorcycle accident effecting both northbound and southbound I-85. SHP will be handling the accident investigation and CMPD is assisting with traffic control. Right now there are lanes open both north and south bound.July 9 12:39 a.m. ADW-With Injury at 2600 Remington Street in Metro Division. A male and female were shot while inside a house on Remington Street. Initially this was called in as a drive by shooting, however, it is now suspected that this was intended to be a home invasion robbery of the residence. Drugs were found on the premises. ADW and Vice Detectives responded to the scene. Both victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
