PINEVILLE, N.C. -- Eight apartment units were damaged after a fire Monday night in Pineville, NC.

Flames tore through Colonial Village at Meadow Creek complex near Carolina Place Mall.

No one was hurt but all eight apartments have serious damage. The Red Cross was called out to the complex to assist displaced residents.

The fire marshal did not have an exact cause by late Monday night, but investigators were searching for clues on a third-floor balcony.
