Investigators: Rowan County Homeowner Shot Break-In Suspect

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- A homeowner shot a person who broke into a home in Rowan County on Friday afternoon, investigators said.Authorities took three people into custody a short time later.Authorities said the break-in suspect was shot on Corriher Grange Road at about 4 p.m. Friday. Investigators said the same home was the site of a home invasion late Tuesday, and they believe the two incidents are related.The shooting victim was taken by helicopter to a local hospital.Investigators took two people into custody on Brantley Road in Kannapolis and one person is in police custody at a hospital.
