Man Shot Outside Motel In Northeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police searched for a robbery suspect who shot someone outside a motel in Northeast Charlotte early Sunday morning.The victim was shot in the leg around 1:00 a.m. at the Continental Inn on Sugar Creek Road near I-85, police said.He is expected to survive, according to authorities.The victim told police he was approached by a man wearing a mask and armed with a handgun. The victim was shot as he ran away, police said.
