Two Accused Of Shooting Clerk In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police arrested two people who they say shot a clerk in east Charlotte late Monday.Carol Siskron and Clayburn Hooper were taken into custody a short time later.Police said the suspects were trying to shoplift from a Texaco on Monroe Road when the clerk tried to stop them.Officers said Hooper shot the clerk in the foot.The clerk is expected to be OK.
