Police: Driver Flips Car After Chase In Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. -- A driver flipped his car in Lancaster County, S.C., after police chased him early Tuesday morning, officers said.Police said they received a call about a man driving erratically around 1 a.m. Tuesday. When deputies arrived, 42-year-old Scottie Wright was parked on the side of Highway 521.Officers said he was rummaging through his car and ignored commands from a deputy. Then he sped off, according to police.Officers chased him until he lost control near Charles Pettus Road. His SUV flipped and landed upside-down.One outbound lane was blocked.Police said they had to shock Wright with a Taser to get him under control.He was taken to a hospital.
