Independence Back Open After Car Hits Bicyclist

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- All lanes of Independence Boulevard outbound are back open after a car struck a bicyclist on Monday.

The accident happened just past Briar Creek Road.

The bicyclist was transported to CMC with life threatening injuries.

We will have more information on the victim as it becomes available.
