Charlotte, N.C. -- The commute into Uptown will change next month.Charlotte's Department of Transportation will move South Tryon Street from five to three lanes between Stonewall and Carson boulevard.CDOT is testing out the feasibility of a long-term plan to permantly make the road three lanes, adding two bike lanes, as well as wider walkways for the public."Anything that they can do to make it more accessible from South End to Uptown is very positive," Uptown worker Cathy Nechin said.CDOT wants to hear your opinion on the plan.Officials will talk about it at a meeting on Wednesday at the government center in room 280.
