Family Members Ask For Help In Unsolved Killing

The family members of a murder victim broke their silence Tuesday.

Tony Myers, 65, was shot and killed inside his family’s business just a few days after Christmas.

For the first time, his two sons, Jody and Andy Myers, opened up about the unsolved case, their father, and the impact the killing has had on their family. They also asked for the public’s help in finding the person who killed their father.

Granite Gun and Pawn opened in the fall of 2008, and Tony Myers, who had an interest in guns, worked there often before his death. His sons said he was well-liked by customers.

"He was always around firearms,” Andy Myers said. “Different gun shops and gun shows and things like that, so we never felt like we were in that much danger."

Police think robbery was the motive in the killing. Guns were taken from the business on the day Myers was killed.

Investigators released a sketch of a person of interest just days after the slaying. Eyewitness News has learned the image is of the only customer who was in the store that day and has not yet come forward.

The Myers brothers urged anyone with information to help police find their father’s killer. They’re confident the case will be solved.

"We feel like if we get just one break, the house of cards will come down on this guy and we'll be able to find him,” Jody Myers said.
