Man Arrested In Connection With Roommate's Death

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man accused of killing his roommate was taken into custody by Charlotte's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, SWAT team and police officers Thursday night.

Police said they arrested Ramon Fernandez, 23, but did not give details about where they found him.

Fernandez is accused of shooting and killing 29-year-old Victor Mazariegos last Thursday in east Charlotte.

Police found Mazariegos' body at the Vista Villa apartment complex on The Plaza.
