CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte fire investigators said a fire that damaged a church’s gymnasium Saturday was set on purpose.The Bible Presbyterian Church on Rumple Road in Derita broke out around 2 p.m. and caused $50,000 in damage.Members of the church told Eyewitness News Saturday they have had trouble with kids setting fires in the area in the past.If you have any information about this case, police ask that you call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
