CHESTER, S.C. -- A Chester police officer has been arrested on charges he forged documents using a city employee's name to get a mortgage.
The State Law Enforcement Division has charged 32-year-old Timothy Stuckey of Rock Hill with one count of forgery.
Stuckey was arrested Wednesday and released a short time later.
Interim Chester Police Chief Mike Brown says Stuckey was placed on administrative leave without pay.
Late Friday, authorities told Eyewitness News Stuckey was no longer employed by the department.
The arrest warrant states Stuckey forged the name of Chester's personnel director in order to get a mortgage loan from Charter One Mortgage in Charlotte.
The employee whose name was forged would --not-- talk about the matter yesterday.
