Charlotte High School Principal Released From Hospital

Eyewitness News has learned a principal who told police he was attacked outside of a school in southwest Charlotte is out of the hospital.

Family members say Michael Faulkner is out of the hospital and doing well.

Faulkner is the principal at E.E. Waddell High School.

Another employee found him on the school's ballfields Monday. He was apparently beaten, stabbed and bruised.

Faulkner says three men attacked him after he tried to stop them from vandalizing the school.
