Carolina Man Charged In Schiavo Case

Charlotte, NC -- The controversy surrounding Terri Schiavo has reached the Carolinas.
Schiavo is in a hospice facility in Pinellas Park, Florida.
On Friday, the Charlotte division of the FBI charged a man in Fairview, North Carolina with making death threats against Schiavo's husband.
Richard Meywes is being held in the Buncombe County Jail.
According to an FBI release, Meywes sent an e-mail in which a "$250,000 bounty was placed on the head of Michael Schiavo."
An additional bounty was offered for the elimination of a judge who refused to intervene in the case.
