CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say a man who was ejected from a local strip club apparently decided to return with his car.

Authorities say the unidentified man was asked to leave the Carousel Club shortly after midnight. Police say the man then drove his car into the building, rupturing a natural gas line.

Firefighters shut down the line. Today, a building inspector will check the club to ensure that it's safe to re-enter. No other damages were reported.

The driver wasn't hurt, but he was arrested.
