SOUTH CAROLINA — Caitlyn Virts, 11, disappeared with father Timothy after her mother was murdered in their Baltimore home.
They were found at a hotel in Florence, S.C. on Friday. The hotel’s owner says she read about the Amber Alert on Facebook.
“I think that the fact that the father and daughter came to my window together, it was easier to put the two together when I saw the Amber Alert picture of them together on Facebook,” said Carol Gause, who called 911.
Caitlyn is now in protective custody, while her father is in jail awaiting extradition to Maryland. He has been charged with murder.
