Christmas at the Billy Graham Library

What: A live nativity scene, horse-drawn carriage rides, Christmas music and more are featured at this annual event celebrating Christmas. Admission is free; parking is $10 per vehicle after 3 p.m.

Holidays at the Garden

What: An annual holiday display of Christmas trees, lighting and more, along with carriage rides on Thursdays through Saturdays and visits with Santa. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and $6 for children ages 4-12.

McAdenville lights

What: McAdenville, known as Christmas Town, USA, lights up for the holiday season. The light display is free.

SouthPark annual tree lighting celebration

What: Family entertainment, carriage rides and more followed by the annual lighting of the tree. Afterward, there will be a screening of "Arthur Christmas." The event is free.

When: Begins at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16; tree lighting is at 7 p.m.

Speedway Christmas

What: More than 3 million holiday lights make up more than 800 displays at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Tickets are $15 per car Monday through Wednesday, and $20 per car Thursday through Sunday, when the Speedway Christmas Village is open.

The Singing Christmas Tree
