NEW YORK — President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that he is disbanding a pair of White House councils after a receiving a rash of resignations in response to his failure to immediately and forcefully denounce white supremacists in the wake of violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia.
“Rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the manufacturing council (and) strategy (and) policy forum, I am ending both,” Trump wrote Wednesday in a tweet. “Thank you all!”
