Cam Newton to be featured on Gatorade bottles as 'The Blender'

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton's likeness will be featured on limited edition Gatorade bottles.

Newton joins JJ Watt, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and Robert Griffin III in a series of bottles called the "League of Captains."

Each player features a digital comic with a slogan on the bottle.

Cam's slogan: The Blender.

Gatorade says Newton's character "takes components from the greatest quarterbacks and fuses them together. When he hits the field, defenses aren't just up against him; they're up against the several quarterbacks that make up Cam. They're up against The Blender."

JJ Watt is MegaWatt, Peyton Manning is The Sheriff, Eli Manning is Big Easy and Robert Griffin III is TrIIIple Impact on the bottles.

The bottles can be found nationwide.

Limited edition hard copy comics featuring Cam Newton as The Blender will be passed out at the pre-season Panthers vs. Bills game at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
