CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A Charlotte native and mother of five, Jenny Mulligan was diagnosed with terminal stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme.
Mulligan's sister, Maria Parker, entered the Race Across America to assist her sister and is using the race as a platform to raise $1 million for brain cancer research.
Maria, 50, is an avid cyclist, who in the last
three years has set four world records for endurance riding, including a new 24-hour world record of 469 miles, set in October.
