Charlotte to see showers Thursday, warm temperatures

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte is seeing dreary weather Thursday with on-and-off showers throughout the day.

The rain will continue into the afternoon, but may let up in the later afternoon.

Meteorologist John Ahrens says the clouds will remain locked over Charlotte, but despite the cloudy conditions, the warmup will continue.

Highs will be near 70 degrees Thursday, and temperatures will reach the mid-70s Friday.

A powerful cold front is on schedule to hit Charlotte over the weekend.

The front will bring damp, dreary and cold conditions.

Sunday will be rainy with temperatures in the 40s.
