Maynard, who has a 5-year-old daughter, said she considered moving to Texas to be closer to Womack but changed her mind because she wasn’t positive the relationship would last.

"As a single mom, I don't have the luxury of saying, 'I'll figure it out when I get there,'" Maynard said.

Maynard said while she and Womack, who declined to appear on Monday’s show, remain friends, they couldn’t make it work as a couple. She mentioned the stress that tabloid attention put on her and their relationship, saying photographers followed her wherever she went.

Maynard said she keeps in touch with Womack and regrets the way things ended.

"I'll always be in love with Brad," she said. "No one will hear me say a bad word about him.”
