'Homeland' wins Globe for best TV drama series

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. —

"Homeland" has won the Golden Globe for best TV drama series.

The show, which is filmed in Charlotte, scored a sweep of the biggest drama awards, including best TV drama for the second year in a row.

Co-stars Claire Danes and Damian Lewis both won top acting awards.

The other nominees Sunday night were "Breaking Bad," "Boardwalk Empire," "Downton Abbey" and "The Newsroom."

The 70th annual Golden Globes aired from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
