CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A piece of history is on display at the Carolinas Aviation Museum in west Charlotte.
The 'Miracle On The Hudson' plane that splash-landed in the Hudson River in 2009 has found a permanent home at the museum. The plane had just left a New York airport and was headed to Charlotte when it was disabled by a bird strike.

Several museums wanted the plane, but it ultimately ended up in Charlotte, where many survivors of the flight live.
The US Airways Airbus is quickly becoming one of the museum's iconic displays.
The museum’s exhibit also features photos, videos and items from the aircraft, as well as videos of passengers describing what happened and how they felt as the events unfolded.
