Taste of Charlotte returns to streets of uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

The annual Taste of Charlotte festival returned to the streets of uptown on Friday.

The event features dozens of menu items from Charlotte-area restaurants, along with live music, family entertainment and kids’ activities. Loco Lime, e2 emeril’s eatery, Mert’s Heart & Soul, Mellow Mushroom and Dilworth Neighborhood Grille are among the participating restaurants. For a full list, click here.

Admission to the festival is free, but food samples have to be purchased with festival coins.

The festival is held along Tryon Street, from MLK Jr. Boulevard to 6th Street. It runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
