The annual NC Music Factory 5K Rock ‘N Run will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11 starting at 8 a.m.

The annual event is held at the Music Factory, on Seaboard Street off Graham Street.

The mission of the event is to promote a positive social and economic impact for the North End corridor by promoting community and health awareness in connecting Charlotte-Mecklenburg to the "new North End."

The fun will continue after the race, with live entertainment, a health and wellness pavilion, kids' activities and much more. 

This year, proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which strives through education, advocacy and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food.
