Finishing touches put on Jordan's new $12.5M Florida home

JUPITER, Fla. — Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan is close to moving into a new 28,000-square-foot home in Jupiter, Fla., Yahoo Sports is reporting.

Construction on the 3-acre home started in 2010 and final price tag is estimated at $12.4 million.

The home has 11 bedrooms, a pool house, a 2-story guard house and an athletic area with a basketball court, according to jeffrealty.com.

According to jeffrealty.com, the home is rumored to have a massive "cigar-friendly" media room with state-of-the-art electronics.

Jordan's new digs was built in Jack Nicklaus' Bear's Club community, which carries a $350,000 initiation fee and annual dues of $25,000, Yahoo Sports says.

Jordan will now be neighbors with Tiger Woods.

The Bobcats have lost nine games in a row after starting the season with a 7-5 record.  They team finished last season with seven wins and the worst winning percentage in league history.
