Authorities say a house fire led to the arrest of a Hickory man on a gun charge.
Ryan Hawn was charged with felony possession of a firearm.
Our partners at the Hickory Daily Record say firefighters were called to a home on 29th Avenue Northeast on Saturday. They found a metal building behind the home on fire. Officers say Hawn lived there.
They believe he ran off with a handgun after setting the fire. He was later found near Lowe’s Foods and taken into custody.
