Hospital puts holiday newborns in Christmas stockings

PITTSBURGH — Babies born at a Pittsburgh hospital on Christmas Day receive special stockings, according to ABC News.

Nurses at Magee-Women's Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center have been organizing the event for years.

Stockings and hand-knit red hats are given to the babies who spend their first Christmas at UPMC as keepsakes.

Dozens of tiny hats are given away each holiday season.
