Investigators: Fire set at Gastonia building intentionally set

GASTONIA, N.C. — Fire investigators said that an office building that went up in flames in Gastonia Monday night was intentionally set.

Investigators said the building on Kyle Court had been vacant for about a year.

Authorities believe the fire was set to go off later, but because it was spotted early they were able to contain it quickly.

Damage is estimated at about $60,000.
