Kathryn Burcham

None — Kathryn Burcham joined the Eyewitness News team as a reporter in May 2011. Before Charlotte, she worked in Dayton, OH and Peoria, IL. During that time Kathryn received the 2010 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Video Investigative Reporting for a series of stories about a community where residents were drinking well water laced with toxic levels of arsenic. As a result of that investigation, a million dollar grant was awarded to residents so they could build a system to provide clean drinking water. In addition to being named Best Reporter by the Ohio Associated Press in 2009, Kathryn also received Regional Emmy nominations for Best Education Report in 2009 and Best Reporter in 2010.

Kathryn attended Western Kentucky University where she graduated summa cum laude, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. She is a member of Phi Mu sorority and loves to travel, cook, exercise, and has a passion for karaoke.
