MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — One person is dead and three others are seriously hurt after a crash on Interstate 485 Thursday afternoon, according to MEDIC.
The I-485 outerloop was closed at Interstate 77 near Huntersville for several hours while authorities investigate the scene.
MEDIC said one victim was confirmed dead at the scene. Three others were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, and two with serious injuries.
Several emergency units responded to the scene including Charlotte Fire, Huntersville Fire and Long Creek Fire.
