Police identify passenger killed in Salisbury wreck

SALISBURY, N.C. — One person was killed and another injured in a wreck at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Salisbury, police said.

The two-vehicle accident was at the intersection of Jake Alexander Boulevard and Lincolnton Road.

The passenger in one of the vehicles, Tabitha Pratt, was pinned and had to be extricated by Salisbury firefighters.

She was taken to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem where she died.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to North East Medical Center in Concord with serious injuries.

Two others involved in the wreck were not injured.

The weather was not a factor and the investigation is ongoing.
