MINT HILL, N.C. — A Mint Hill man is in the hospital after police said he was hit by a car Tuesday morning in front of his house.
Officials said the collision happened around 9:30 a.m. on Truelight Church Road near Kool Springs Drive. The road was closed north of Lawyers Road while police investigated.
Police said the driver of a green Chevrolet Malibu struck the man, who was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.
Officers do not think drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, and the driver is not facing any charges.
