CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in east Charlotte.
One man was shot on Audrey Street off of Eastway Drive at the Shamrock Gardens Apartments, according to investigators.

Witnesses said they heard three gunshots and someone yelling for help. One woman said she ran to help the victim and found him on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg.
"I rushed over there, I see a lot of blood, I see nobody was tending to his wounds so I took by sweater off and I kind of put pressure to his wounds," the woman said.

Police said the victim has non-life threatening injuries.
Police sent their helicopter to help officers search the area for the gunman but no arrests have been made.
